Moel Famau Cockers is a family run gundog training kennels based in North Wales. We are approximately 10 miles from Chester in view of the Moel Famau mountain.
Moel Famau is a Hill/mountain and country park in Denbighshire North Wales. Its peak straddles the border between the counties of Denbighshire and Flintshire. It is popular with walkers, indeed the Offa's Dyke Path passes close to the summit of Moel Famau.
Darren has been training and handling gundogs, to trialing standard, since 1992.
Our training facilities include secure training areas, woodlands and a rabbit pen. We have simulated trial days for advanced handlers as well as novice training for the beginner
Darren also takes clients dogs in for training and performs Gundog demonstrations for country fairs and game fairs, more information about the Moel Famau lines and activities at Moel Famau Cockers can be viewed throughout the website..
We can supply puppies and part or fully trained spaniels.
Our dams produce a limited number of strong, bold puppies each year. We have excellent success with our breeding and the 2010 cocker champion, Moel Famau Mini, was bred by ourselves.
Darren currently owns and handles Moel Famua Mini's mother, Flora Spreadable, and sister, Moel Famau Whirlwind.
Darren has sent puppies and trained spaniels to overseas countries including Denmark, Sweden and Ireland. All of our spaniels would be suitable for working or pet homes.
